He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Paxton and Jesse Paxton (Landis); his wife Ruth Rentschler (Stinnett); his children, Gary Paxton, Charles Paxton and Danielle Marie Paxton; and his siblings, James R. "Jim" Paxton, Larry Paxton, Charlotte Keesey, Neva Stackhouse, Gail Geiger, Edna Mae Curtis and Bonnie Jean Garber.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Paxton (Jeannie), Judy Ann Paxton, Tonya Haynes and Lisa Boal (Richard); and his brother Earl "Bud" Paxton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several loving step-children, step- grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home (1101 Jefferson St, Rochester, IN 46975). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church.
