He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Paxton and Jesse Paxton (Landis); his wife Ruth Rentschler (Stinnett); his children, Gary Paxton, Charles Paxton and Danielle Marie Paxton; and his siblings, James R. "Jim" Paxton, Larry Paxton, Charlotte Keesey, Neva Stackhouse, Freida Geiger, Edna Mae Curtis and Bonnie Jean Garber.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Paxton (Jeannie), Judy Ann Paxton, Tonya Haynes and Lisa Boal (Richard); and his brother Earl "Bud" Paxton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several loving step-children, step- grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church.
