He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Rock and Mary Rock (Warmbrod); and his siblings, Doris Hittle, Donald Rock, Ivan Rock, Erma Sutton, Margaret White and Jesse Rock.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sue Rock; his children, Sue Beasley (Tom), Jeff Rock (Shawn), Joe Rock (Sharon), Jamie Rock (Miranda), Jerome Rock (Marci), Sandi Shanklin-Owens (Greg Myers) and Sindi Wamsley (Ron); and his sister Anna Clemons (Ora).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home (1101 Jefferson St, Rochester, IN 46975). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Rochester, Indiana, in memory of James.
