He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Eckrote and Helen Eckrote of New Castle; his sister Beverla Tuterow; and his sister-in-law Donna Aleman. He is survived by: his wife Darlene of Akron; his children, Jerry Jr. (Amy) and Jeffrey (Michele); his grandchildren, Emma Eckrote (Daniel Musselman), Lane Eckrote (Jackie), Lucretia Eckrote (Marissa), Benson Eckrote, Jeffrey Jr. Eckrote (Alexandria), Sarah Martin (Noah) and Anna Wildermuth (Lincoln); his siblings, Sandra Sidwell of Pendleton and Jerald Eckrote (Kris) of Pendleton; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Smith and Cheryl Wise. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
