She was predeceased by: her parents, George T. Byers and Helen N. Byers (Sloop); her daughter Naomi Starr Hoffman; and her sister-in-law Clarisse Byers. She is survived by: her daughter Twyla Rader (Bill); her grandson Wil Beaty (Madison); and her brothers, Dean Byers, Dale Byers (Jeannie) and Jay Byers (Martine). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
