He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Whitlock and Verile Whitlock (Bloom); his former wife Barbara Carlin; his children, Sarah Whitlock and Michael Whitlock; and his siblings, Norman Whitlock, Margaret "Elaine" Jaggers, Thelma Irene Whitlock, Richard Whitlock and Marilyn Joan Bouman.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Whitlock (Melton); his children, Rebecca (Fred) and John (Karen); his stepchildren, Rebecca Smith (Stephen), Amanda Giles (Marc), Joshua Ritter, Newell Weldy (Natilia) and Jennifer Beaird (John); and his siblings, Stanley Whitlock (Sheila), David Whitlock (Chris), Neal Whitlock (Rhonda), Marlin Whitlock (Karen) and Ruthann Hammond (Tracy). He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Debbie Whitlock, Ohio, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home (1101 Jefferson St, Rochester, IN 46975). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Boynton Cemetery.
