He was predeceased by: his father Paul R. Haist; and his siblings, Jacalyn Haist and Herb Haist. He is survived by: his mother Eva Mae Haist (Loker) of Rochester; his stepson Jesse Sweeney of Asheville; his daughter Mia; his niece Meredith (Travis Adams) of Mentone; and his great-nephews, Jackson and Logan.
