Richard E. Hassenplug Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on December 20, 2025, at the age of 85, Richard E. Hassenplug of Rochester, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Hassenplug and Inez M. Hartman Hassenplug; his daughter Linda Kowal; his sister-in-law Joyce Hassenplug; and his stepfather Walter Ludwig.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann of Rochester's First Baptist Church; his daughter Julie Lopez (Leo) of Bourbon; his grandchildren, Richard Kowal (Amy), Amanda Huse (Brad) and Wes Kowal (Shelby); his great grandchildren, Carter Kowal, Riley Kowal, Whitney Huse, Noah Huse, Atlas Kowal and Jade Kowal; his brother Charles Hassenplug of Rochester; and his siblings-in-law, David Wagoner and Janice Zellers.
