He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer W. Hulbert and Gladys Ida Hulbert (Dickenson); and his siblings, Carol S. LaFlair (Vernon Leon), Naomi J. LaFlair (Robert W.), Sally J. Hirschey (Maynard D.), Shirley Dier (Francis), Patricia M. Tabolt (Larry J.), Robert S. Hulbert (Madalene R.), Garvis G. Hulbert Sr. (Emily E.), Charles W. Hulbert (Dorothy E.), Ronald E. Hulbert (Patricia A. "Pat") and Reginald J. Hulbert.
He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Tabolt; his children, Darin Virkler (Liz), Julie A. Hulbert (Donny Hayes), Nicole Blakeman (Shawn) and Amy Jo Ossont (Chris); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Kevin, Adam, Nolan, Nathan, Adley and Beckett; his great grandchildren, Dakoda, Maddi and Mason; his brother Gerald Hulbert (Beverly); and his sister-in-law Helen Hulbert. He is also survived by members of the Tabolt family; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Beaches Bridge Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Farney Hall (7429 NY-12, Lowville, NY 13367).
Memorial contributions in Tom's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
