He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Ray and Eva B. O'Blenis (Wolfe); and his sister Alvena Mollencupp. He is survived by: his wife Earline O'Blenis; his children, Timothy O'Blenis (Sandra), Lisa D. Smith (Steven) and Deena K. Smith (Richard); and his grandchildren, Karen O'Blenis, Jennifer O'Blenis, Stacey Heinzman (Steven), Aaron Ranstead (Kalyn), Cory Smith (Jennifer) and Michael Smith (Minori). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
