He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmore Jackson Arrington and Nancy Arrington (Baker); and his siblings, Tracy Michael, Ann and Scotty.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Arrington (Ward); his children, Charles William Arrington, Jr., Robert Truman Arrington, John E. Arrington, Lena Irene Smith, Lisa Kay Arrington, Kay Lynn McKeehan and Marcee Chaleise Everly; his brother John Skotnick; and his cousin Ann. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
