He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Morgan and Anna Rebekah Morgan; and his grandchildren, B. J. Ball and Madison Gowen. He is survived by: his wife Loma Curl; and his children, David (Caroline), Diana Carter (Jimmy), Mickey (Cheryl), Susan Morgan and Kevin (Cindy). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
