He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Lavon Thompson and Princess Luelle Stone Thompson; his wife Alice Riggle; his daughter Joy Ellen Thompson; his grandson Michael Andrew Thompson; and his siblings, Ocie Alice Kraft, Larry James Thompson and Carlton Rocky Thompson.
He is survived by: his son Solomon Ray Thompson (Janet) of Greencastle; his grandsons, Josphua James Thompson of Rockville and Nathaniel Phillip Thompson of Greencastle; his brother Lee Thompson of Rockville; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Thompson of Crawfordsville, Pat Thompson of Terre Haute and Walter Riggle (Beva) of Urbana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barnes & Rice Funeral Home (111 E High St, Rockville, IN 47872). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
