Marjorie E. Byrd Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie E. Byrd of Rockville, Indiana, who passed away on September 30, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Flaurr and Cleophia Vivian Massey Flaurr; her siblings, Frank, Ronald, Ralph Flaurr, Virginia Rector, Mary Lee Zachary and Joane Allison; her children-in-law, Marla Smedley and Ed Scoden; and her granddaughter Tiffany Holt.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Hutson of Rockville, Larry Smedley of Crawfordsville, Rhonda Scowden of Rockville, Cathy Hoke of Crawfordsville, Cindy Byrd of Rockville and Jennifer Stowe (Mike) of Rockville; and her brother John Flaurr of Clinton. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gooch Funeral Home (112 W Howard St, Rockville, IN 47872). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
