It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Chalmer Slone of Rome City, Indiana, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Slone and Vernie Slone; his wife Helen J. Slone; and his brothers, Ralph Slone, Chad Slone, Hershel Slone, Burton Slone and Bennie Slone.
He is survived by: his niece Vivian Fry of Kendallville; his siblings, Margaret Jacobs of Albion, Dewey Slone (Nancy) of Kendallville, Johnny Slone (Bertha) of Cromwell and Sidney Minor of Pippa Passes, Kentucky; his nieces and nephews, Susan Slone of Wolcottville, Sharon Ritchie, Carolyn Goodwin of Clay City, Cledith Slone of Kendallville, Ritchie Slone of Kendallville, Randy Slone (Diane) of Kendallville, Allen Slone of Ligonier, Margaret Compton (Duane) of Kendallville and Shelly Slone of Kendallville; his grandchild Rheanna Lucero (Jerry); his great grandchildren, Ayden Lucero and Izzy Lucero; his grandchildren, Alexis Wilson (Tony) and Dustin Fry; and also, Vonda Slone of Auburn and Christine Slone of Kendallville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salem United Baptist Church (8227 IN-9, Rome City, IN 46784).
Preferred memorials are to Salem United Baptist Church.
