It is with sadness that the passing of DeLane Scott of Rome City, Indiana is shared. DeLane, born on March 28, 1949, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Raymond Scott and Wyvona Arlene Scott (Christlieb); and his daughter Kelly Lynne Bowker. He is survived by: his close friends, Maggie, Izzy, Khloe and Bella; his wife Diann Scott of Rome City; his daughter DeLayna Diann; his sons-in-law, Kenneth Lehner of Garrett and Nathan Bowker of Butler; his grandchildren, Stephanie Nickles of Ligonier, Ashlee McCoy of Auburn, Katie McCoy (Austin Wood) of Auburn, Cassidy McCoy (Dante Graham) of Auburn, Destiney Bowker of Butler, AlecZander Bowker, Ruby Bowker of Butler, Avery Lehner (Paige) of Auburn and Austin Lehner (Sarah) of Auburn; his great grandchildren, Bentley McCoy, Braxton, Zeke Zimmerman, Julius Wiley, NoraLynn Terrill, Sophia, Axel Lehner and Carson Lehner; his brother DaleLyn Scott of Kendallville; and his sisters-in-law, Gena Dean (Bill) of Loris and Robin Muncy (Matt) of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hite Funeral Home (403 S Main St, Kendallville, IN 46755). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
