He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Dawson and Helen Dawson (Pepe); his stepparents, Nede Dawson and Roger Green; his grandson Endrix; and his siblings, Craig Dawson and Lori MacIlroy.
He is survived by: his wife LeaAnn Dawson of Rome City; his children, Robert Alan Dawson (Monica) of Olathe, Kansas, Barbara Ann Handshoe (Jamie) of Cree Lake, Josephine Ann Wallen (Jeremy) of Wawaka and Tiffany Ann Wallace (Richard) of Kendallville; his grandchildren, Eben, Averyana, Michael-Anthony, Cameron (Autumn), Jess, Casey (Alex), Lauren (Pancho), Megan, Chase and Krysstopher; his great grandchildren, Roman, Alex "Xavi" and Sophia; his brother Bradford Dawson (Francee) of Calabasas, California; his sister-in-law Cheryl Dawson of Harlan; and his aunt Mary Klein (Maurice) of New Haven. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel (100 Cemetery St, Wolcottville, IN 46795). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
