He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Hurst and Ruby Harding (Willey); his spouse Jerry May (Beaver); and his sister Sharon Coffey. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Hurst Fudge (Tony) of Rushville and Dale Hurst of Blue Ridge; his brothers, Hugh W. Garner of Shelbyville and Duane F. Hurst of Scottsdale, Arizona; and his grandchildren, Kendall Manlief, Michael Fudge, Shaun Fudge and Maggie Fudge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freeman Family Funeral Homes (819 S Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN 46176). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
