He was predeceased by : his parents, Vernon Patterson and Edna Patterson of Gowdy; his wife Patty Morgan; and his siblings, Mary Jo Ruble (Betty Walker) and Mike Patterson.

He is survived by : his children, Tammy Floyd (Bill), Jeff Patterson (Leslie), Lorri Marshall (Jim) and Jason Patterson (Kim); his sisters, Nancy Beckner (Marvin) and Ruth Ann Weisner; and his siblings-in-law, John Ruble and Gretchen Patterson. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
