He was predeceased by : his grandparents, John, Arleta Hanny (Benson), Russell and Helen Eakins (Merritt). He is survived by : his parents, James P. Eakins and Beverly Hanny of Rushville; his siblings, Philip Eakins (Kanako) of Sasebo, Diana Toth (Dick), Lisa Eakins (Andrew Calderon) and Patsy Eakins (Paul Rentfrow); and his close friend Todd Snyder. He is also survived by 4 nephews, 3 nieces, 5 great nephews, 1 great niece, several cousins.
