He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Taylor and Mary "Alice" Taylor (Michael); his daughter Lori Brown; and his brothers, Jerry Taylor, Bill Fleenor and Jim Taylor.

He is survived by : his wife Karen Hankins; and his children, Amy Sebastian (George) of Rushville, Charles Jr. "Chuck" Taylor (Jessica) of Milroy, Brad Taylor (Misty) and Matthew Taylor (Ginny) of Greensburg. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moster Mortuary (334 N Main St, Rushville, IN 46173). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
