It is with sadness that the passing of Darryl Sterwerf of Rushville, Indiana is shared. Darryl, born on August 27, 1961, passed away on July 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sterwerf and Faye Sterwerf (Fields); his stepmother Macel Sterwerf; and his brother Michael Sterwerf. He is survived by: his wife Mona Thomas Sterwerf; his children, Abby Horton (Brent) of Rush County and Jared Sterwerf (Ashley) of Rushville; his sister Karen Sterwerf of Johnson County; his stepsiblings, Steve Thompson (Glenna) of Minnesota, Bruce Thompson (Carol) of Fort Wayne and Cindy Cox (Joe) of Florida; and his grandchildren, Trey Abbott, Harleigh Abbott, Sydney Sterwerf, Ainsley Horton and A. J. Sterwerf.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Plum Creek Christian Church.
