We announce the death of Doris J. Hungerford (Rushville, Indiana), who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Doris will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas K. Mull Sampson and Myrtle Sampson (Orme); her husband David L. Hungerford; and her sister Norma Swinson. She is survived by: her daughters, Beth Vacanti (Terrence) and Susan Schroeder (Darin) of Franklin, IN; her grandsons, David Schroeder (Nicole) and Eric Schroeder; her great grandchild Raelynn Dawn Taylor; her sister-in-law Janet Bruns; and her nieces and nephews, Debbie King (Brent), Kimberly Blackman (Al), Steven Bruns and Jeff Bruns (Kristi). She is also survived by niece and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moster Mortuary (334 N Main St, Rushville, IN 46173). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
