We announce the death of James W. Mobley of Rushville, Indiana, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 89. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vergis Mobley and Alice Plough Mobley; his daughter Beth Hoegeman; his siblings, Lawrence'Shorty'Mobley, Wayne Mobley, Norma Broughton and Ruth Ann Horn (Bob); and his brother-in-law Bernard Harpring.

He is survived by: his son James A. Mobley (Sherri); his grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla (Rob), Cory (Jessica), Alysson, David (Ashley), Cynthia, Zachary (Ally), Thomas (Deanna), Nathaniel, Krista and Stephanie; his son-in-law Don Hoegeman; his sisters, Juanita Mobley, Barbara Bennett (Mike) and Sue Harpring; and his sister-in-law Rosie Mobley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
