He was predeceased by: his parents, August Herbert and Florine Niehoff Herbert; his wife Shirley Glover; his son-in-law Don Hoeing; and his siblings, Virgil, Walter Herbert, Angie Godar, Ruth Carr, Louise Hayes and Becky Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Maryalice Hoeing of Rushville and Dennis Herbert (Sue) of Rushville; his grandchildren, Mandy Reisman (Brian), Brittany Bowers (Tony), Courtney Hill (Randy), Steven Herbert (Tammy), John Herbert (Caitlin) and Brooklyn Petro (Austin); his siblings, Jerry Herbert (Rosie), Jeanie Hawley, Carolyn Risk, Mary Hoeing (Sheldon) and Patsy McVey; and his brother-in-law Jim Stewart.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 3:45 PM to 8:00 PM at the Todd Funeral Centre (1600 IN-3, Rushville, IN 46173). The military honors was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St Mary Catholic Church (512 N Perkins St, Rushville, IN 46173).
Memorials for Lloyd may be given to St Mary Catholic Church or your charity of choice.
