He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Atkins and Ava Atkins (Ging); his wife Gladys L. (Nolan); his daughter Brenda Allen; his great grandchild Brayden Dale Allen; his brother Marvin Atkins; and his sister-in-law Jerri Atkins.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Atkins (Brandy Vandevander) of Brownsburg and Susan Bowling (Paul) of Rush County; and his grandchildren, Colten Atkins, Chris Raider (Amber), Amanda Spurlin (Ryan), Miranda Raider, Preston Bowling, Bruce Allen and Ryan Allen. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
