She was predeceased by: her parents, Gust Herbert and Florine Niehoff Herbert; her siblings, Angie Godar, Ruth Carr, Louise Hayes, Walter Herbert and Virgil Herbert; her siblings-in-law, Robert Godar, Joe Carr, Darrald Hayes, Richard McVey, Richard Risk, Gary Hawley, Shirley Herbert and Ethal Herbert; and her extended family Joseph Klein.
She is survived by: her husband James Stewart of Rushville, IN; her children, Mike Chandler of Rushville, IN and Jamie Russell (Jonn) of Noblesville, IN.; and her siblings, Lloyd Herbert, Jerry Herbert (Rosie), Patsy McVey, Carolyn Risk, Mary Hoeing (Sheldon) and Jeannie Hawley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (1033 N Fort Wayne Rd, Rushville, IN 46173).
Memorial Contributions may be made in Rebecca's honor to St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic School 512 N Perkins Street, Rushville, IN 46173.
