He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Billy J. Evans and Clara P. Evans (Dishong); his wife Nancy Gayle Nichols of Glenwood; his pet Sadie; his brother Gary Evans of Rushville; his children, Jerry Lee Evans (Miranda) and Scott Evans (Brandy); his brother James Evans (Shauna) of Greensburg; his nieces and nephews, Justice Lee (Nicholas), Karissa, Hailey, Isiah, James and Joshua Evans; his sister Mary Ann Phillips (Mike) of Wichita Falls, TX; his nephew Bradley Phillips (Jennifer); and his niece Sarah Wheeler (Colton). He was also cherished by 11 great nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Glenwood Church of Christ.
