It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William R. Ward (Rushville, Indiana), who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Irl F. Ward; his wife Patty Gates; his mother Irene Ward (Abernathy); and his brother Irl Eugene "Gene" Ward. He is survived by: his children, Eric Ward (Karen), Mary Duncan (Craig) and James Ward (Lori); and his grandchildren, Brennan Ward, Alison Ward, Ethan Duncan, Aaron Duncan, Lily Ward, Emma Ward and Tripp Ward. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to The Milroy Christian Church or the Anderson Township Volunteer Fire Department.
