We announce the death of Daniel Lee Freeland of Saint John, Indiana, who passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 79. Daniel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Freeland and Anne Freeland (Leverenz). He is survived by: his wife Patti Freeland (Reimer); his daughters, Erin Heiskell (Andrew) of Swampscott, Kyle Nelson (Robert) of Fairfax, Virginia and Cara Hennings (Jacob) of Signal Mountain; his sisters, Amy Frane (Terrie) of Buda and Jill Freeland of Brandon, Vermont; his grandchildren, Aidan, Brayden, Trevor, Sydney, Carter, Addison and Emily; and his pet Kaner. He is also survived by many extended family members, dear friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
