With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Wayne Porte of Saint John, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerben Porte and Nellie Porte; his sisters, Lorraine Schaap, Loretta VanVuren (Jim) and Eileen Bosch (Henry); and his son-in-law Ronald Boersma.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Jean Porte (Koenes); his children, Kevin Porte (Ruth), Sharon and Steven Porte (Nina); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Adamson (Tom), Kimberly Drummond (Doug), Kristina Climer (Chris), Valarie Scheeringa (Austin), Isaac Porte (Brittany), Katelyn Porte, Dawn Bonneau (Brad), Tammi Szczepanek (Mike), Jessica Traxler (Grant), Jenna James (Kevin), Jonathan Porte, Brett Milcoff (Lizz), Steffany Milcoff (Marc Oestreich) and Scott Milcoff; and his brother-in-law Richard Schaap. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Phil's Friends or the Bible League.
