It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph A. Nowak of Saint John, Indiana, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Nowak and Walyera Nowak (Violet); his wife Valerie Nowak (Sue); his sons, Joseph Nowak and John Nowak; his daughter-in-law Kathy Nowak; and his siblings, Robert Nowak, Bernice Petty and Frances Willis.

He is survived by : his son Daniel Nowak (Michelle); his grandchildren, Danielle Scheidt (Daniel), Jason Nowak (Harlene), Daniel Nowak Jr. and Robert Nowak; and his great grandchildren, Evalina Nowak and Violet Scheidt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
