He was predeceased by: his parents, Josiah Vantrease and Alberta Vantrease. He is survived by: his wife Carol R. Vantrease; his daughters, Cindy Sheeks (Jeff) and Kathy Chapman (Ted); his grandchildren, Karl Sheeks (Anna), Katie Jordan (Brandon), Riley Chapman (Ashley), Elliott Chapman (Rachel) and Mackenzie Imhoff (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Karson, Owen, Elijah, Noah, Mia and Ellis; and his caregiver Eunice Kadzakumanja.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lake Hills Baptist Church (9209 W 85th Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
