With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard Summerford of Saint John, Indiana, born in Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away on July 14, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Shelly Summerford and Era Summerford; his son Dwight Summerford (Lydia); his great grandchild Josh Cook; and his brother Willard Summerford.

He is survived by : his wife Birthel Summerford; his children, Nelda Duvall (Frank) and Mickey Summerford; his grandchildren, Heather Summerford, Jill McNatt (Jonathan), Deanna Taylor (Ollie), Steve Summerford (Jennifer), Darrin Duvall (Tami) and David Duvall (Lawanda); and his brother David Summerford (Carolyn). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
