Lillian Ruth Colbert Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Lillian Ruth Colbert of Saint John, Indiana. Lillian, born on July 24, 1945, passed away on October 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anthony and Annabelle Crest; her husband Bud; and her sisters, Ruby Syers, Nancy Miller and Reita Church.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Himsel (Chris), Lynné Colbert (Sam Adams) and Marty Colbert (Lorri); her grandchildren, Samantha Frederick (David), Ryan Colbert, Andrew, Ella, Matthew, William and Ethan Himsel; her stepgrandsons, Nick Nowell (Lupita) and Jeff Nowell; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Landyn, Alaina and Elisa Nowell; her brother John David Crest (Tami); and her siblings-in-law, Sandra Frohock (Jim), Brenda Wood and Ronald Colbert (Nancy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vickery Funeral Chapel (416 W Elm St, Equality, IL 62934). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Schererville Community Center (500 E Joliet St, Schererville, IN 46375).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
