We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2025, at the age of 92, Manuela Castel of Saint John, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Manuela may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rojelio "Romeo" Castel. She is survived by: her children, Rojelio Castel Jr. (Vickie), Anthony Castel, Barbara Chavez (Randy), Elaine Spitz (Bill), Christine Castel and Carolyn Robinson (Mike). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church (1 W Wilhelm St, Schererville, IN 46375).
