Ruth J. Kamp Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth J. Kamp of Saint John, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Gerard Oosterveen; and her parents, Herman Vollink and Wilhelmina Vollink. She is survived by: her children, Harvey Oosterveen and Jewel Hutt (Daniel); her stepchildren, Kevin Kamp (Gloria), Colleen Van Prooyen (Randy), John Kamp (June), David Kamp (Jan), Dawn Schutt (Jeff) and Sara Austin (Josh); her grandchildren, Benjamin, Evan, Gabriel Hutt, Bryan, Kyle, Jennie Fischer (Kamp), Steve, Rachel Boggs (Van Prooyen), Michael Van Prooyen, Timothy, Scott, Luke, Kristen Ysinga (Kamp), Diane Hassan (Kamp), Paul, Trent Kamp, Alex, Julie Aardema (Kamp), Jordan, Alena, Aaron Kamp, Tyler, Brandon, Jason, Laci, Ava Schutt and Aiden Kamp; and her siblings, Tunis Vollink (Kathy) and Wanda Miersma (Curt).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Orland Memorial Park Cemetery.
