He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Mehling and Alice Mehling (Maffenbeier); and his brothers, Norman, Bernard and Stanley "Butter" Mehling.
He is survived by: his siblings, Thelma Ann Hunt of Gainesville, GA., Margie Steckler (Mike) of Huntingburg, Ruth Fritz (Ray) of Ferdinand and Terry Auffart (Donna) of St. Meinrad.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the St. Meinrad Catholic Church (19630 4th St, St Meinrad, IN 47577).
