He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burman and Katie Lainhart (Spivey); his wife Margaret Darlene Lamb (Barnett); and his siblings, Jackie Lainhart, John "Jay" Lainhart, Jerry Lainhart, Ronnie "Cash" Lainhart, Ottis Lainhart, Howard Lainhart, Ica Wilkerson and Evelyn Law.
He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Sears (Joe) and Charles Lainhart (Betty). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Hope Cemetery (8016 E Pull Tight Rd, Scottsburg, IN 47170).
