He was predeceased by: his parents, Quitman Blocker and Annabelle Blocker (Crane); and his brother Quitman "Sonny" Blocker. He is survived by: his wife Frances Irene "Cookie" Blocker (Cornett); his daughters, Lillie Blocker (Ben) and Samantha Blocker (Tony); his grandchildren, Madelyn, Charlotte Kozik of Stafford, Aaron Deppe, Danica, Jules Lucas of Butlerville and Ashlynn Carpenter of Seymour; and his siblings, Margaret Miller (Jerry) of Salem, Indiana, Becky Tucker of Salem, Indiana, Sue Hacker (Wayne) of Salem, Indiana, Joseph Blocker (Gary) of Louisville, Kentucky and John Blocker of Bristol, Tennessee.. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dawalt Funeral Home (204 E Market St, Salem, IN 47167). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
