He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Sorrels and Suzanne Rust Sorrels; and his sons, Brian Daniel and Daniel. He is survived by : his wife Sherry Danner Sorrels; his children, Richard (Missy) of Waverly, Patrick Chastain (Robin) of Scottsburg, Janis Kidd (Matt), Jonathan (Sarah), Dwight (Larissa), Jenetta Underwood (Patrick) and Melinda of Salem; his siblings, Betty Pluris (Wayne) of Columbus, Susan McMartin of Salem, Calvin Sorrels (Tina) of Salem, Lynn Bickel of Edinburg, Dwight Sorrels, Jerome Sorrels, James Sorrels, Allen Ray Sorrels and Beverly Goodson-Ford; and his granddaughter Alyssa Chastain. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
