She was predeceased by: her parents, Dee Early and Georgie Early; her spouse Merle H. Butler; her son Dennis A. Butler; and her siblings, JD Early, Leslie Early, Gene Early, Chester Early, Christine Koester, Mary Ruth Rogers, Jane Claycomb, Linda Lucas and Darnell Gibson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Walton (John) of Sellersburg, IN and Angela Nicholson of Salem, IN.; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Letson of Mt. Juliet, TN, Matthew Walton of Wendell, NC, Adrian Brown of Salem, IN and Ashley Fugett of Trafalgar, IN.; and her brothers, Marvin Early and William Early. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
