He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Deaton and Cleo Spencer Deaton; his wife Vergie Mullins Deaton; and his brothers, Boyd Deaton and Bert Deaton.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya Gregory (Terry) of Salem, IN, Lavada Poynter of Hardinsburg, IN., Ronnie Deaton of Salem, IN and Bob Deaton of Fredericksburg, IN; and his siblings, Ron Deaton (Betty) of Chavies, KY., Lillian Deaton and Faye Deaton. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
