With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jewell Gholson of Salem, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Morris and Ethel Smith Morris; and her siblings, Kenneth Morris, Ruth Moore and Lenora Harrod.
She is survived by: her husband Lester Gholson; her sons, Jeff Gholson (Tenice) of Sugar Hill, GA, Andy Gholson (Deanna) of Anderson, IN and Keith Gholson of Knoxville, TN; her grandchildren, Ashley, Evan, Drew and Austin; her stepgrandchildren, Kenny, Brandyn and Lauren; her great grandchildren, Dawson Mae, Knox, Weston, Noa, Oakley and Mary Tatum; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Naveah and Adeline. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Westview Christian Church (2638 NW Washington School Rd, Campbellsburg, IN 47108). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
