He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnerd "John" Lee Bateman and Ruth Margarett Bateman (Standiford). He is survived by: his wife Deborah Lynn Bateman (Tharp); his children, Kevin Lee Bateman Jr. of Colorado, Charles Chuck Bateman (Chad Michael Bateman), Christy Bateman of Campbellsburg and Valorie Dawn Bateman of Campbellsburg; and his stepchildren, Nicholas Tharp of Salem, Logan Tincher of Salem, Jesse Tincher of Louisville, Joshua Lykins of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Jami Mudd of Caneyville and Melanie Tincher of Salem. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
