She was predeceased by : her parents, Clyde Petrey and Sarah Petrey (Craig); her husband Arthur Coates Sr.; and her siblings, Clyde "Bud" Petrey, Jr., Franklin "Frank" Petrey, Morrice "Hunky" Petrey and Wilma Petrey.

She is survived by : her sons, Arthur Coates Jr. and Gary Coates (Monica); her brothers, Herbert Petrey (Teresa), Kenneth Petrey and Jerry Petrey (Shirley); and her grandchildren, Izabella Coates, Andrew Coates, Cameron Fisher and Caleb Fisher.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Love Funeral Home (14345 Greene St NE, Palmyra, IN 47164). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
