We announce the death of Rex Allen Rees of Salem, Indiana, who passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 93. Rex will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Archilles and Freda Rees (Frees); his wife Ila Pauline Rees; and his brother Ronald Rees. He is survived by: his children, Michael D. Rees (Vickie) of Daleville, Phillip J. Rees of Deland, FL and Kristin Comp (Brendon) of Fishers; his grandchildren, Shane Rees (Vanessa), David Rees (Kayla), Jason Rees (Mandy), Trent Rees (Kim), Kyle Rees, Nathan Comp (Alyssa) and Allison Earle (Elijah); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Cassidy, Maddie, Rowan, Nova, Silas and Quinn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services- Daleville (8212 S Walnut St, Daleville, IN 47334). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
