He is survived by: his wife Janice Lee Hayes (Chatham); his children, Renee Lamb (Greg) of Salem, Indiana, John Hayes (Jana) of Salem, Indiana, Gina Walker (Chuck) of Salem, Indiana and Robin Berning (Jeff) of Orleans, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Nicole Motsinger (Zach), Collin Hayes (Kristyn), Logan Walker (Olivia), Courtney Carpenter (Clay), Chelsea Ross (Andrew), Bailey Evans (Christian), Brittney Powers (Cade), Bryce Berning, Kaden Berning, Kyle Lewandowski (Media), Tyler Lewandowski (Mikey), Cassie Surface (Justin) and Lauren Butler (Joel); his great grandchildren, Hadley, Easton, Adeline Motsinger, Ella Hayes, Aria, Camley Walker, Clayton, Charlie Hayes Carpenter, Blakely, Baylor Evans, Raiden, Baby Powers, Luke, Macey Lewandowski, Brooks Lewandowski, Josiah Surface, Jacob and Lynnlee Butler; his sister Nancy Slone; his sisters-in-law, Betty Brinkworth, Carole Graham and Margie Williams; and his brother John Hayes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
