He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Hoyt and Shirley Hoyt (Voyles). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hoyt (Glasgow); his children, Tiffany Hoyt-Smith (Nick Smith) and Tamarya Hoyt (Scott Johnson); and his grandchildren, Collin Smith, Caden Smith, Connor Johnson and Caroline Johnson.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel (107 W Mulberry St, Salem, IN 47167). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church (202 E Market St, Salem, IN 47167). A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Crown Hill Cemetery (207 S Shelby St, Salem, IN 47167).
