With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth Eloise Shelby of Salem, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas O. Shelby; her parents, Wylie McKinley Hayes and Maggie Ruth Hayes (Moore); her sons, Michael and Mark; and her siblings, Doris Higdon, Maxine Riggs and Vester Hayes.

She is survived by: her children, Keith Shelby (Barb) of Salem, IN and Melanie Overall (Ben) of Powell, TN.; her grandchildren, Madison Grant (Tim), Brandon Overall of Knoxville, TN, Claire Journell (Chris) of Murfreesboro, TN and Evan Shelby (Kelsey) of Sellersburg, IN.; her great grandchildren, Camden Grant and Eloise Journell; and her siblings, Betty Mangrum of Lexington, TN and Max Earl Hayes (Donna) of Parsons, TN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
