He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara A. Swope; and his parents, Charles Swope and Mildred Swope. He is survived by: his children, Christine Swope-Cholewa and Shawn Swope (Jill); his grandchildren, Jacob Cholewa (Kirsten), Harper and Piper Swope; and his great grandchild Roran Cholewa.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
